Tax Law Changes for 2009 - Obama's American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)
· Making Work Pay Credit will affect most workers
· Unemployment and COBRA benefits available for unemployed workers
· Key family benefits have changed making EITC, CTC, and the Hope credit available to many more taxpayers
· Credits are available for energy improvements to your home.
· State and local sales taxes paid on the purchase of a new vehicle are deductible, even if you don't itemize (limits apply).
· First-time homebuyer credit is extended
· Several credits available for plug-in vehicles
