  • Fall 2015 Newspage features Sun Prairie Youth Apprenticeship program and Workplace Wellness Grants information

    The Government Affairs Committee works on tasks such as:
    *  Hosting a Legislative Update annually
    *  distribution of 2-3 Government Affairs Newspages per year
    *  host an annual 'How to Run for Public Office' workshop
    *  Distribute information about legislative issues that affect business
    *  Address issues with local government on behalf of our Members 

    The Government Affairs committee hosted a "how to run for public office" workshop in October and now has a DVD copy of the workshop available for Chamber members to borrow.  You can view the workshop online:

    Federal Health Care: the "Cadillac Plan Tax" How Will it Affect Your Company?  The Alliance, a Wisconsin-based, employer-owned health care cooperative, has put together a handy calculator to help employers estimate the effect of the "Cadillac plan tax," if any, on their health plans. The tax calculator is for meant for illustrative purposes only and is based on a simplified formula pertaining to active employees.
