    Madison-Kipp Corporation is one of the country’s premier producers of precision machined aluminum die cast components and sub-assemblies for the transportation and industrial end markets.Our components consist of aluminum die casting on high-volume and close tolerance machining to include some sub-assembly. Aluminum machines range from 600 to 1200 ton closing capability with most in fully automatic cells.     POSITION SUMMARY

    Machine repair on die casting machines and support equipment (punch presses, robots, etc.), secondary equipment, facilities, other repairs and projects.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Perform emergency machine repairs as needed, plant wide.

    2. Rebuild machinery as needed plant wide.

    3.     Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical problems and take corrective action.

    4.     Read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and understand symbols.

    5.     Understand PLC operation, use PLC interface to diagnose PLC problems and affect proper corrective actions.

    6.     Understand plant manufacturing processes and use that knowledge to diagnose maintenance problems.

    7.     Instruct beginning mechanics in basic machine repair.

    8. Aid in development and installation of new or rebuilt equipment.

    9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    10. All other duties as assigned.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Heavy Manufacturing Environment with exposure to noise, excessive heat and cold, dirt, grease, smoke, dust, and molten metal. Working aloft, bending, and awkward positions.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Physical exertion required with occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds. Regularly stand for long periods of time as well as walk with occasionally bend, twist, and move about the facility.Travel required from site to site.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    High school diploma. Technical school diploma in related field and at least one (1) year experience. Ability to work unsupervised or to supervise small groups.
