The service organizations below will share Virtual Sweet Corn Festival proceeds to help our community.
The VFW mission is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts and to serve our veterans, the military, and our communities and advocate on behalf of all veterans. Its purpose is to speed rehabilitation of the nation's disabled and needy veterans, assist veterans' widows and orphans and the dependents of needy or disabled veterans, and promote Americanism by means of education in patriotism and by constructive service to local communities.
The American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service-members and veterans.
The Exchange Club of Sun Prairie has served the Sun Prairie community for over 40 years with programs that support wounded Veterans, prevent child abuse and celebrate kids who have survived incredible childhood trauma by staying in school, working hard and making good choices. Corn Fest serves as the major fundraiser for Exchange and without it our programs will suffer. Please consider donating to support our programs so that we can continue to be a light during times of darkness for Veterans and especially children who may be in abusive environments.
The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal organization with a strong local council. It supports the Sun Prairie community and surrounding areas with financial assistance through a variety of fundraising activities, including popular Friday night fish fries and Monday night bingo sessions at The Round Table. Collectively, the Knights contribute more than $22,000 annually to entities as diverse as Sacred Hearts, St. Albert the Great, and St. Joseph parishes; the Women’s Care Center of Madison and Pregnancy Hotline of Madison; the Society of St. Vincent de Paul; Sunshine Supper and Sunshine Place; Sun Prairie High School sports teams; and Habitat for Humanity of Dane County. Approximately 75% of the organization’s annual budget is derived from the volunteer work of members at the Sweet Corn Festival. The Knights must maintain funding streams in order to continue their level of work in the community, for it is during challenging times like this when their assistance is most needed. Thank you for your support.
Lions Clubs International is the worlds largest service organization with over 1.4 million members in over 200 Countries. Our members are dedicated to serving others, holding ourselves to the absolute highest standards. We champion kindness in our communities and actively work to improve the lives of ALL people. The local Sun Prairie Lions Clubs mission statement and theme of reaching, touching and improving lives is emotionally powerful. It is the foundation of who and what we are as Lion Club Members.
We have always appreciated the tremendous financial support of the community and local businesses in funding our mission. We would appreciate any support possible that allows us to continue funding our projects.
